Is the ski circus a big family?

Parts of the German team have now taken tuition from a Norwegian - with baking.

Munich - When Christmas and the cold months approach, the baking utensils are taken out and the dough is rolled out.

Cookies and sweets belong to winter like the sun to summer.

In the alpine ski circus, winter is the main season.

And before the big highlights come up, the German women train hard.

Of course, the competition doesn't sleep either.

You can learn something from everyone in winter sports.

For example from the Norwegian Ragnhild Mowinckel - and even away from the slopes.

The two-time silver winner from Pyeongchang 2018 is not only a role model in terms of sport, but also in the kitchen.

The 29-year-old has now proven that.

Together with the German skiers Kira Weidle and Nadine Kapfer, as well as physiotherapist Tina Krahmer, she swung the rolling pin.

Ski star bakes with Deutsche Kanelsnurr - what is that actually?

She wrote about the picture: "Days off - showing Germans how to make Kanelsnurr" - in German: "Leisure time - I'll show Germans how to do Kanelsnurr." The big question, what Kanelsnurr actually is?

Kanelsnurr is a cinnamon roll that is popular in Northern Europe.

We Germans and Austrians also know cinnamon rolls well.

In Sweden, the neighboring country of Mowinckel's homeland, October 4th is even known as Kanelbullens Dag - Cinnamon Roll Day.

Ski star Mowinckel “the best teacher” - Germans and Norwegians are currently training in the USA

The Germans seemed to be enjoying the tutoring session a lot.

Physiotherapist Krahmer thanked them with the words: “Thanks to the best cinnamon roll teacher.” Germans, Norwegians and many other teams are currently training at the same time on Copper Mountain, near Salt Lake City, in the USA.

Both the 25-year-old Weidle and the 21-year-old Kapfer want to follow in Mowinckel's big footsteps not only when it comes to baking, but also when skiing.

The great successes for the two DSV women have not yet materialized.

Kapfer starts for SC Garmisch, Weidle for SC Starnberg.
