Against Bayreuth, the Dreirosenstädter landed the next victory in the state league.

Moosburg

- The EV Moosburg ice hackers have also won their third home game in Franconia in a row.

The EHC Bayreuth 1b turned out to be the unpleasant opponent expected by EVM coach Bernie Englbrecht in the 3-1 win on Friday.

Highly committed and with a few mistakes, the guests managed in the first section to keep the Moosburger almost completely away from their housing. The Tigers didn't have huge chances either, but Max Englbrecht, who returned to the EVM box, had to intervene a few times. Once the returnee was lucky when Bayreuth's Michael Cejka hit the post (10th). Only then did the Dreirosenstadters appear dangerous once or twice in front of the EHC gate. Giuseppe Parlato missed the best opportunity to take the lead after a fine pass from Max Retzer (18th) - and so it was 0-0 after 20 minutes.

Although the Bayreuth team consistently tried to take the first Moosburg storm row around top scorer Miloslav Horava out of the game, the EVM puck hunters got into the game better in the second round. Now EHC goalie Sebastian Dünkel was more often in focus. He reacted brilliantly against Miloslav Horava and Daniel Schander, but did not look happy when Max Retzer (25th) scored the opening goal: Florian Mayer had received the disc from his own third on the board, moved to the middle, leaving two defenders stand and shot placed to 1-0. Cejka had a great chance to equalize for the Tigers shortly afterwards, but failed because of the good Max Englbrecht. His counterpart Sebastian Dünkel still had opportunities to distinguish himself. Miloslav Horava and Parlato failed with the best chances at the EHC goalkeeper. When Petr Horava took a powerful slap shot, the post finally got in the way (37th).

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The home side remained fully concentrated in the final third. When Daniel Schander brought the puck forward over the left side, Miloslav Horava ran centrally as a pass station. But Schander waited a long time and then skillfully finished from a tight angle to 2-0 (44th). The Tigers from Bayreuth now had to come and checked the EVM goalie in the person of Andreas Geigenmüller and Christopher Maier, who reacted brilliantly. Moosburg's youngster Simon Huber forced Dünkel to make a strong save on the other side. Just when the hosts wanted to play on hold, Cejka scored the Tigers goal after a nice solo run (54th). But unlike at the beginning of the season, the EVM ice hackers did not let that bother them: Shortly before the end they drove a counterattack over the right side. From there, Miloslav Horava put back in the middle, where Stefan Groß hammered the puck under the crossbar to make it 3-1.
