The home stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in the European region came to an end tonight (Tuesday).
10 teams have secured their place in the tournament to be held in Qatar towards the end of next year and another 12 will fight for the remaining 3 tickets to the playoffs.
And what a playoff it's going to be.
The 12 participants were divided into 6 ranked and 6 non-ranked and they will be drawn against each other for a single game hosted by the ranked.
However, Russia will not be able to meet Ukraine due to the tensions between them.
A few days later, the 6 winners will meet for 3 finals for everything, after which the last immigrants from Europe will be crowned for the World Cup.

Playoff semifinals: March 24/25, 2022
Playoff Finals: March 28/29, 2022

The 10 Europeans who have already won a ticket to the World Cup have joined host Qatar and Brazil who themselves have secured promotion from the South American region.
Argentina is also close by and in Asia Iran, South Korea and Saudi Arabia are on the safe path.
