Summoned for the first time to the French team in September 2019, Mattéo Guendouzi will have waited a little more than two years before knowing his first selection.
The small event took place this Tuesday evening in Finland, during a 2-0 success of the Blues in Helsinki.
Very smiling, the midfielder of OM shared his happiness in front of the press after the meeting.

It is a great pride, emotion.
It's a kid's dream come true tonight.
I am happy to have had my first minutes in the best team in the world.
I hope this is the start of a long series.
Did you feel impatient?
I wanted to start with the team.
But I know that there are great players in my position and a team that is doing well.
I worked in training with the selection and also in club to get there.
There was a bit of excitement coming home.
I knew how to remain patient.
I was able to stay natural during training.
Everything went well tonight (Tuesday).
Do you have a message for your club and your Marseille supporters?
It is a work of many years.
It has been a dream since a very young age.
I worked a lot to know this kind of emotions like this first selection.
It rewards the start of the season that I am doing with OM.
Since my arrival in Marseille, I have grown, I have progressed.
I hope to continue having a good season with OM.
If I stay at the top of the ranking, the coach will hold it against me.
