Lakers optimism: "LeBron James may return to play against Boston"
To the full article
As expected, from the meeting between the two hottest stars in the NBA right now - Steph Kerry and Kevin Durant - only one came out with his hand on the top; Kerry, who is in tremendous shape and second only to Kevin Durant on the league's scoring list - was just big on Brooklyn. The Warriors star who became the greatest three-pointer of all time when he passed Ray Allen, shelled out 37 points against one of the strongest teams in the league, including 9 from 14 for 3, and also added seven rebounds, 5 assists, two steals and a block in the big win.
After a close first half during which the advantage shifted from one to the other, Golden State opened burners in the third quarter, where it scored 35 points compared to only 18 of the opponent. During the third quarter, Durant, who recorded his weakest game of the season with just 19 points, failed to find the ring when he missed all eight of his shots (he finished the game with 6 of 19 after not playing at all in the fourth quarter).
Aside from Kerry who as usual provided the goods, Andrew Wiggins was also excellent with 19 points on a great percentage (7 of 11 from the field) with Jordan Paul once again making a handsome 17-point contribution.
The Nets' lead was led by James Harden, who finished with 24 points.
Only Harden, Durant and Bruce Brown who finished with 14, scored in double digits for the Hunts, who will face refreshing Cleveland in the upcoming game.
