The Karate Federation opened a central referees course today at the Governorate Club in Damascus, a translation of its strategy to rehabilitate its cadres to match their peers in developed countries in the game.
The head of the Karate Federation, Jihad Mia, told SANA, “On the sidelines of the Elite Championship for the age groups under 14, 16 and 18, whose competitions started today, we organized a central course for referees with the participation of 65 judges from all branches of the General Sports Federation in the governorates under the supervision of Union member Maher Kanaan,” pointing to the importance of these courses to inform the judges. Everything new in the laws of the game has a positive impact on the local tournaments.
The opening of the session was attended by members of the Executive Office of the General Sports Federation, Muhammad Al-Hayek, Abdel Nasser Karko, and the President of the Governorate Club, Muhammad Al-Sibai.
This course will be held in conjunction with the opening of the fully equipped Karate Hall within the Governorate Club.
