But at Hapoel Haifa: Orit Maman, the sister of the team's contact Hanan Maman, passed away at the age of 44, after a struggle with a serious illness. Orit is the daughter of Baruch Maman, the former star of Maccabi Haifa since the 1980s.
In April of this year, Hanu Maman turned to his followers and fans, with an excited request to enlist and donate for his older sister Orit, who has cancer and needs a drug that did not enter the drug basket and costs NIS 100,000 a month. All of Israeli football mobilized for the efforts, and indeed Maman managed to raise hundreds of thousands of shekels. However, despite her stubborn struggle with the disease, she passed away. "The Hapoel Almog Haifa family shares the grief of Hanan Maman and his family over the death of his late sister Orit," the club said.
In April, Hanan Maman wrote: "Meet my older sister, my heroine, who always smiles. Not many know this about me, not even the closest ones, but for over five years Orit has been fighting the disease… this disease that we do not even dare to say her name.
"And Orit, with the smile and the optimism, has already won more than once, but now it's back and she's fighting again. All the way my big sister is strong, optimistic, sometimes sharing and sometimes not… And we? Do not really understand and know what she's going through."

Orit said: "My brother and I are very connected, and I trust him so much. The post comes from his heart ... We are not a family that asks, and we always try to be the ones giving. When we went out on the campaign, we hoped people would be attracted to this energy of giving."
The municipal rival Maccabi Haifa also reported this morning: "The Maccabi Haifa football club bows its head over the untimely death of Orit Rada-Maman, the daughter of the club's former player Baruch Maman. We share the family's grief and wish they knew no more grief.
