Bayern professional Joshua Kimmich threatens to be canceled for the Bundesliga away game at FC Augsburg on Friday evening (8.30 p.m., stream: DAZN) due to contact with a corona suspect.
This was announced by coach Julian Nagelsmann at a press conference.
The national player of the German soccer champions did not train on Thursday, which Nagelsmann described as a "pure precautionary measure".
Now wait for the result of the PCR test.
Kimmich announced at the end of October that he had not yet been vaccinated against the corona virus.
Most recently, Kimmich's Bayern colleague Niklas Süle tested positive.
The defender had to go into quarantine, as did the contacts Kimmich, Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
In the case of a positive test result for the suspect from Kimmich's environment, the midfielder would have to go into self-isolation again for seven days, only then is a so-called free test possible using a negative test result.
In this case, the Champions League game against Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday would also take place without Kimmich.
