The athletics bambini of the LC Freising shone at the autumn sports festival in Munich in several disciplines with great performances and strong placements.

Freising

- After no competitions could take place for a long time and then the "big ones" were allowed to go first, the time had finally come for the athletics bambini of the LC Freising: Four Freising girls and five boys competed at the autumn sports festival in the stadium of TSV München-Ost a three-way fight in which they competed in the disciplines long jump, ball throw and 50-meter sprint.

Five athletes even dared to run the 800 meter distance.

The excitement was written on the kids' faces - after all, it was their first competition in an athletics jersey.

The boys and girls received support from their trainer Gaby Hagl and from Freising sprint ace Lana Pavic, who had one or two tips ready for the youngsters.

Moritz Reger sprints away from the competition

Moritz Reger, who, unlike his comrades, had already competed in a competition and is therefore one of the "old hands" of the training group, achieved the best placement in Freising.

Hagl is particularly proud of the impressive sprint time of her protégé: the ten-year-old sprinted off all of them in 7.94 seconds.

A set over 3.84 meters in the long jump and a solid performance in the ball throw completed his three-way battle, in which he was able to look forward to a silver medal at the end.

In the 800-meter run, Moritz proved that he also has what it takes for the middle distance: with a seven-second lead, he was the first to cross the finish line after 3: 04.58 minutes.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

His training partner Lukas Schievenbusch won bronze over 800 meters. He completed the two rounds of the stadium in 3: 12.92 minutes. With 8.74 seconds over 50 meters, 3.06 meters in the long jump and 23.50 meters in the ball throw, Lukas finished his three-way debut in seventh place. But even he could not keep up with Philipp Kopetz's throwing power: he threw the 80-gram ball 28 meters and, thanks to 9.17 seconds and 3.36 meters, took the well-deserved sixth place in the other disciplines.

Anton Girlich insisted on starting one age group higher at the age of nine.

The test of strength with the big ones paid off: He came eleventh in the three-way battle (9.68 seconds, 2.92 meters and 15 meters) and a time of 3: 23.42 minutes over 800 meters.

Benedikt Wiesheu only just missed eleventh place.

His achievements: 9.61 seconds in the sprint, 2.84 meters in the long jump and 14 meters in the ball throw.

He also delivered a courageous 800-meter premiere with a time of 3: 36.37 minutes.

The girls also mix well

The fastest athlete from Freising was Hannah Kleidorfer in her first three-way battle: with 8.70 seconds, 3.43 and 17.50 meters, she placed in the top 10 and was the only LC girl to start the 800-meter start. She bravely ran a time of 3: 36.61 minutes. Minea Petz was rightly happy about her 18.50 meters in the ball throw - none of her training partners could keep up. Her throwing skills and her performance in the sprint (8.74 seconds) and long jump (3.15 meters) brought her twelfth place. Anna Häberl prevailed with five points ahead of her competitor from Munich and finished 17th. Her performances: 8.87 seconds, 3.05 meters and 16.50 meters.

Kara Frech meanwhile did the same as her training partner Anton Girlich and also started a year later.

With her 9.45 seconds, 3.17 meters and 10.50 meters, she mixed well with the strong field of ten-year-old girls.

After LC ace Lana Pavic had supported the kids extensively, she wanted to get a taste of the competition one last time this season.

With her set of 5.34 meters, she not only proved her top form at the end of the season, but also catapulted herself to the top of the Bavarian best-of-the-year list.

Heavy feet?

Nothing.

With a lead of over a second, the Sprint talent from Freising ran up and away from the competition over the 100 meters.
