Joshua Kimmich from the German soccer record champions Bayern Munich has to be quarantined again as an unvaccinated contact person for a corona infected person.
The association confirmed this to SPIEGEL.
Initially, the »Bild« reported about it.
Kimmich not only missed the Bundesliga game at FC Augsburg (8.30 p.m.), but also the Champions League group game at Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday (6.45 p.m., both DAZN).
On Thursday, Kimmich, who has so far refused to be vaccinated against Covid-19, was not present at the final training session.
A "pure precaution," said coach Julian Nagelsmann.
Now the national player goes into the mandatory quarantine.
Kimmich had recently already missed the international matches against Liechtenstein and in Armenia as the contact person for teammate Niklas Süle who had tested positive and had only returned from quarantine at the beginning of the week.
In addition to Süle, defender Josip Stanisic is currently also missing at Bayern after a positive corona test.
Süle and Stanisic are double vaccinated.
