Own future uncertain

Week one after the coaching decision was announced was definitely a special one for the Bayern league club VfB Hallbergmoos.

Hallbergmoos -

Peter Beierkuhnlein first had to collect himself, but now he wants to enjoy his last three games as an interim coach.

At TSV Dachau 65 (Saturday, 2 p.m.) the mini-series is to be expanded with two wins without conceding a goal.

Last weekend the Hallbergmooser Bayernliga footballers were free of play, but the introduction of the new coaching trio (we reported) made waves.

“When I was asked for an interview shortly before, I already suspected something like that,” says Beierkuhnlein.

Had he got a chance as a permanent coach, the decision would probably have been made during the winter break.

"That was extremely painful for me," says the man who came to the club as a playing assistant coach and, after Gedi Sugzda was fired, has looked after the team for four games and also won two games.

No conversation with the upcoming trainer

The presentation of the trainer trio at the department meeting a week ago shocked him. The message from those in charge was clear: Without a single conversation with the future coach (Matthias Strohmaier, editor's note), the door was also closed for Beierkuhnlein as co-trainer. Not even whether he wanted to continue as a player was a big issue. The 33-year-old now wants to let the developments sink in and not make an emotional snap shot. Given the current status, he can imagine a lot. He asked the VfB manager a few questions. It depends on whether he can imagine staying as a player until the end of the season. The veteran can also imagine getting into the coaching business entirely and will listen to offers, when coaches are sought in upscale amateur football.

Your own plans run in the background

Beierkuhnlein’s plans are a long way off, while the away game at Dachau 65 is the present. Statistically, the momentum is with the Hallbergers, who have won their last two games and have not conceded a goal for 202 minutes. Beierkuhnlein expects “90 minutes of dedication and passion” and hopes that the small run to zero did not get any cracks after the weekend. On the other hand, the people of Dachau have a non-fish-non-meat series that has also annoyed VfB once. The 65s have drawn five times and not won ten games. The last victory is on September 11th. The series almost ended last weekend, but Wasserburg equalized 2-2 in the 94th minute. "I see Dachau more than their results",says Beierkuhnlein, "it's just a snapshot that we have won twice and she hasn't."

Just a change in the lineup

There is currently little reason to change the list.

In defense, Dennis Hammerl prevailed against Carl Opitz in a tight gut decision, after two wins without conceding it would be madness to rotate without need.

In the offensive, however, the interim trainer has to find a new solution.

Simon Werner suffered a stress fracture in his foot and can no longer be used in the three games until the winter break.

That, in turn, could open up a new chance for Andre Gasteiger, who, as an ex-player from Eintracht Karlsfeld and Pipinsried in the Dachau district, is well known.

Lineup

Kozel - Mömkes, Hammerl, Giglberger, Petschner - Kostorz, Beetz, Küttner - Krause, Gasteiger - Aygün.
