The Syrian national basketball team lost to its Iranian counterpart with a score of 100-66 points in the friendly match that was held today at Azadi Hall in Tehran, at the conclusion of the preparatory camp for the first window competitions of the Asian qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup.

The first quarter of the match ended with the Iranian team advancing 26-8 so that the hosts continued their lead and were able to settle the second quarter and the first half with a score of 47-22.

The third quarter witnessed the continued progress of the Iranian team to end with a score of 79-36 before our team rebounded in the fourth quarter, which ended with our team advancing 30-21, but the Iranian team’s superiority in the first three quarters tipped its weight by deciding the match with a score of 100-66.

It is noteworthy that our national team played the match without the services of four of its professional players: Wael Jalilati, Amer Al-Sati, Kamal Jumblatt, and the naturalized player Amir Jabbar, who will join the FIBA ​​days.
