A prefectural decree prohibits the presence of Parisians at the Bollaert stadium for the Ligue 1 match.

After the prefectural decrees preventing the presence of Parisian supporters at the Vélodrome on October 24 and at Geoffroy-Guichard, next Sunday (1 p.m.), for the match against Saint-Etienne, the prefect of Pas-de-Calais decided that fans of the PSG will not be able to go to the Bollaert stadium on December 4, for the meeting of the 17th day (9 p.m.).

Based on the article of the Sports Code which makes it possible to “restrict the freedom to come and go of people claiming to be supporters of a team (…) whose presence is likely to cause disturbances to public order ”, the prefect puts forward several points to support his decision.

First, the risks of attacks which require not to distract the police from their mission.

Especially since Lille - Troyes will take place the same day at 7 p.m.

It is then reported on "serious disturbances to public order" observed during the matches between Lens and Paris.

The meeting was thus classified at risk because of “heavy litigation” between supporters.

The degradations of the Lensois bus by Parisian supporters on the night of May 1 to 2 are also recalled.

The trip of Parisians on August 15 to attack Lensois and Stéphanois is also highlighted.

In the end, the prefecture therefore considers that the presence of PSG supporters in the city center of Lens or around and in the Bollaert stadium "involves serious risks for the safety of people and property".

Since the start of the season, Parisian supporters had regularly come in large numbers for away matches.
