In the case of the missing Chinese tennis player Peng Shuai, China's state media have circulated new videos allegedly in which the tennis player can be seen.
This clip is supposed to show Peng Shuai opening a youth tennis tournament in Beijing on Sunday.
She waves and smiles briefly, but does not speak up herself.
In early November, Peng Shuai accused former Chinese Vice Prime Minister Zhang Gaoli of sexual assault on the Waibo social network.
Her entry was deleted, and she was no longer seen in public.
This video was also distributed on Saturday via the Chinese state media's Twitter account.
It's supposed to show her having dinner with friends in a Beijing restaurant.
Steve Simon, head of the international women's tennis organization WTA, commented on the restaurant clip as follows:
“This video alone is not enough. While it is positive to see her, it remains unclear whether she is free and able to make her own decisions. "
Simon continues to worry about her health and safety and that her allegations of sexual assault are obviously being censored.
Because of the affair, the WTA is now threatening with the complete withdrawal of the tennis tour from China.
The world number one, Novak Djokovic, is behind the measure and is concerned:

"The whole community, the tennis community, has to support her and her family and make sure they are safe and healthy because if you were to hold tournaments on Chinese soil without solving this situation, it would be a bit strange."
In the past few days, worldwide clarification has been demanded in the case of the former number one in the double world rankings.
France threatened diplomatic consequences on Sunday.
