Portuguese justice announced that it had carried out dozens of searches on Monday as part of an investigation into suspicions of tax evasion linked to transfers of football players and to financial circuits involving agents in these transactions.

With the help of 85 tax inspectors and police officers, the authorities carried out 33 searches mainly in Lisbon and Porto (North) "
