LeBron James was thrown off the pitch when the Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA basketball league against the Detroit Pistons and caused a huge commotion with his action.
The 36-year-old met opponent Isaiah Stewart in a position scramble after a free throw in the face - Stewart suffered a cut in his right eye and was bleeding profusely.
The Pistons player got angrier and angrier afterwards.
He first had to be held back by players and later by several coaches, the situation seemed very heated.
Stewart seemed to have calmed down several times, only to storm again towards James.
As a result, Stewart was also sent off the field.
How James behaved in the meantime could not be seen in the first TV pictures.
But some other players on both sides had to be held back in the meantime.
According to US media, it was the second expulsion for James in his career.
The Lakers finally won the game on Sunday evening (local time) 121: 116 and are back with a balanced record of nine wins and nine losses.
