Quickly involved in the investigation, the police having discovered that Hamraoui's phone chip was in the name of Abidal, whom she encountered during his time at FC Barcelona, Eric Abidal later revealed to his wife that he had had an extramarital affair with the player. Suspected of being involved in the assault, Hayet Abidal asked to be heard to stop the rumor, before filing for divorce at the end of last week following her husband's confession.
This Tuesday, the former French international broke the silence on Instagram, in a short post addressed to his wife.
" Forgive me.
Whatever your decision, you will remain in my eyes the woman of my life, and especially the mother of our wonderful children.
I deserve this humiliation even if it kills me alive.
