VfL Wolfsburg suffered their second defeat in the fifth game of the group stage and are currently in last place in Group G with five points.
Nevertheless, the team of coach Florian Kohfeldt can hope for a place in the round of 16.
In two weeks, a home win against Lille (8 points) is enough, then Wolfsburg would overtake the French because of the direct comparison won and leave at least one other team behind.
RB Salzburg (7) then receives FC Sevilla (6).
VfL lost after an offensive harmless performance at Sevilla FC, the goal of the day was scored by Joan Jordán with a header from a cross from Ivan Rakitić (12th minute).
The Andalusians were dominant for almost the entire season and missed some good opportunities, in stoppage time Rafa Mir scored the final score (90th + 7th).
In the first half of Group H Juventus had won 1-0 against Chelsea and because the direct comparison counts in the battle for group victory, Chelsea had to win. The team of coach Thomas Tuchel pressed almost continuously, hardly once Juventus was able to break free. After a save by Juves goalkeeper Wojciech Szszesny against a free kick by Reece James (24th), Trevoh Chalobah hit the next corner: Antonio Rüdiger's corner hit the 22-year-old's feet (25th).
The most dangerous scene for Juve came almost immediately after the opening goal: Álvaro Morata lifted the ball over Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy towards the goal, Thiago Silva sprinted back and artistically scratched the ball off the line (28th). Otherwise, only Chelsea played like in the 56th minute, when James shot a header extension from a tight angle with full chip into the far corner and like in the 58th minute, when Hudson-Odoi only had to push in in the penalty area. Timo Werner got the final score (90th).
For the first time, Xavi, who had won the Champions League four times as a player, was on the sidelines in the premier class as coach of FC Barcelona. After a lucky win in the league at the start, Barcelona dominated the game against Benfica and created more chances. The 18-year-old Austrian Yussuf Demir repeatedly pulled from the right wing into the center and finished: Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos parried in the 7th minute, and the ball hit the crossbar in the 42nd minute.
Benfica's offensive efforts were largely limited to the 34th minute, when Marc-André ter Stegen probably only parried Roman Yaremchuk's header from close range because it was already in place.
In the second half, Ousmane Dembélé celebrated his comeback at Barcelona after an injury, but he didn't score the winning goal either.
In second place, Barcelona are still two points ahead of Lisbon and threaten to miss the round of 16 if they lose their last group game at Bayern.
