When will there finally be new changing rooms?

FC Moosinning presented a possible solution at the annual general meeting.

Chairman Karl Thumbs was confirmed in his office and is entering his 25th year in office

Moosinning - The community meeting has canceled the Moosinning community, but the largest association in town held its annual general meeting.

“And that's a good thing,” said Mayor Georg Nagler.

After all, new elections are due and there is a lot to do for the new management team.

Probably the most important project: the construction of the changing rooms.

The FCM has been struggling to find a solution for ten years. But the subject is not half as old as the presidency of Karl Thumbs. He has been running the club for 24 years. So long that one of the 80 members present asked himself: “Was there anyone else before?”.

Thumbs, 59, will continue to be FCM boss for the next two years. He was unanimously re-elected to thunderous applause. His two deputies Helmut Huber and Robert Kroh resigned from their offices. For this, their sons Florian Huber as well as Marco and Manuel Kroh jump into the rut and take on tasks in the club management (see list below). The new elections were done in no time. Finding people for honorary positions does not seem to be a problem for the FCM, which is proven by the number of coaches - over 50 according to youth leader Max Kaifel. The only exception: "We urgently need more referees," appealed Thumbs.

His accountability report should have been epic, after all, the last meeting took place two and a half years ago. But the pandemic hardly allowed any sport. "In 2020 we had a single home game with the first," reported Thumbs. “We don't know whether we could have overtaken FC Schwaig without abandoning the game. But what this club has achieved and is now also showing in the national league is phenomenal, ”he praised the neighbor.

But FCM is also doing very well in terms of sport. "Our third party had collected 24 points by the winter break - we usually had that at the end of the season," said Thumbs. He is also proud of the cooperation in the youth with the SV Eichenried (report to follow) and of the second, who leads the district class. And then there would be the first to win sensationally at the district league high-flyer VfB Forstinning. The celebration afterwards was quite long, said Rupert Lanzinger and asked for understanding that, with Alex Auerweck (“He is hoid oaner the toughest”) and three or four others, only a handful of the first team's players were present. The second and third were on site as a team.

Lanzinger was previously the head of the football department, which will be taken over by a trio in the future.

He himself, so he told the local newspaper, will continue to take care of the district league team and, as the new 2nd chairman, tackle the issue of changing rooms.

Which brings us back to the hotly debated project for which the local council had already decided on a solution worth millions, but which cannot be financed, as Mayor Nagler once again pointed out. 2.6 million euros for a multifunctional building, plus 180,000 euros for the Riff sports cafe - that could not be done. Nagler - who used to be an active member of the FCM himself - was pleased that the municipality is now leaving the initiative to the club, which, according to Thumbs, favors a solution: changing clothes on one of the tennis courts that the tennis club would like to leave open anyway. The cabins would then also be very centrally located, enthused Thumbs, but pointed out that one would still have to wait for the general meeting of the TC. A timeline that defender legend Oliver Chadt would like to see, could not present either Thumbs or Nagler. Only one thing is clear, said sports advisor Helmut Scharlach: "We've been around for ten years now, I won't wait another ten years."

In the meantime, however, there is plenty to do.

Grandstand renovation, at some point a small field near the main square and already the conversion of the escape lights.

You can count on up to 80 percent of grants.

The rest will be done by the FCM itself, "because financially we are in very good shape," said Thumbs.

This was also confirmed by his wife Rosemarie.

According to the treasurer, after a zero-sum game in 2019 (around 166,000 euros in income and expenses) in 2020 (136,000 euros in income and 119,000 expenses), the club generated a profit of around 17,000 euros.

The FCM currently has around 35,000 euros in the cash register.
