- In the 3-0 victory, the FCL put the local SG Polling / Mühldorf under pressure from the first minute.
Julia John and Michelle Refeld missed the first chances before Melli Schöffmann took the lead with a long-range shot (15th).
The Geislingers stopped the Pollinger attack efforts in midfield and pushed for the fast 2-0, but Maike Schmidtner failed with her attempt at goalkeeper Vanessa Hüller. Johanna Steinmaier put the ball just wide of the goal after a nice combination.
After the restart, Polling was bolder, but continued to bounce off the strong Geislinger defense.
The FCL had the chances and continued to miss them.
John and Schöffmann failed several times due to the strong keeper.
In the 65th minute Steinmaier was alone in front of Hüller after a nice pass into the interface and scored to make it 2-0.
When she then refined a precise cross from Alisha van Horten to 3-0 (77th), the game was over.
Previously, Steffi Karamatic had also had bad luck with a free kick just over the gate.
And a long-range shot from Lena Scheibl then passed the corner of the goal.
“A well-deserved victory even at high altitudes,” said coach Stefan Karamatic after the game.
"The opponent was difficult to play on, but the team delivered a great game." Pir
