In Fort-de-France
A victory quickly drawn
Charles Caudrelier:
“It was played out early enough. We took an advantage after Cape Finisterre. We all arrived there at about the same time. We took the right sides and made the right choices as far as Madeira. We were the first to go west. It gave us a little advantage that we managed to exploit. There have been feedbacks but this small lead that we had built there has served us a lot. Once past the Doldrums, it was a bit straight ahead. It was only just before the finish that you had to have strong nerves because in the last part of the race, we knew they were going to come back. We could try to put ourselves just before but we followed our option. Our routers did an excellent job and we got the boat going well. The little mattress built upin Madeira has served us a lot. ”
