Biathlon: a journey through the mind of Justine Braisaz

2021-11-24T13:16:32.613Z

At 25, the French biathlete is slow to fully exploit her formidable potential. What she is aware of, and which she wants to put an end to before the Beijing Games.

Justine, in what state of mind are you approaching this Olympic season?

Justine Braisaz:

Rather serene compared to my preparation and the experience I have accumulated during my previous seven seasons in the World Cup.

And especially during the last one.

Out of the question for you to forget it…

Why should I forget it?

Because I finished 15th in the general classification of the World Cup, whereas the season before I was 9th?

But don't we also build from failures?

A sportsman does not know only victories in his career, far from it even.

Last year, I only got an average assessment of my season.

I did not do World Cup podiums, or Worlds medals as I wanted, but unfortunately that is part of a sports career.

Nevertheless, there is a lot to be learned from it.

I have undoubtedly had a little physical and mental lack throughout the season, perhaps due to some wear and tear.
