The handball players are in suspense as to how the game will continue.
BHV Vice President Ingrid Schuhbauer is fighting against the demolition.
- The number of game failures in the handball leagues is increasing, including among the district teams. But how should it go on in view of the dramatic corona situation? Is there an interruption in the rounds of points? Or is there even a risk of another end of the season? The presidium of the Bavarian Handball Association (BHV) wants to avoid the latter at all costs, emphasizes BHV Vice-President Spielbetrieb, Ingrid Schuhbauer from Freising: In a press release, the association announced that it still needs a little time to implement the new government resolutions. Schuhbauer sat the whole day in front of the television during the relevant state parliament discussion, then said: "Unfortunately, I have not heard in detail what the whole thing means for sport and here in particular for young people."
Unforeseeable consequences in the social field
For the offspring, 29 percent of the games were canceled last weekend, most of them were still playing.
"This shows that the clubs and the young people absolutely want to continue," says Schuhbauer.
A failure would also have unforeseeable social consequences for them: “I don't even want to imagine that.
The young players are tested at school two or three times a week, and if they are sick they stay at home anyway.
Training and games should be allowed, ”she adds.

Ingrid Schuhbauer knows that in the adult sector, the willingness to vaccinate is very high among BHV members: “In the case of referee, trainer and management courses, the rate was 95 percent in September.
I think that we handball players are all very sensible. "Here the legal requirements would be different:" I think that it is definitely easier for women and men to continue playing.
We already had 2G anyway. "When it comes to 2G-plus, the clubs should be asked:" After all, it's also a matter of costs.
But a decision cannot come overnight. "
Break until the end of the year is a weak option
You will fight against a demolition: "We have to do everything against it. In a pinch, no spectators are allowed again. The main thing is that the game is running. ”However, it is not easy to find a consensus within the BHV. Because in Lower Franconia you have completely different corona numbers than in southern Bavaria: "But we have to decide for the whole of the Free State." In general, however, one is hanging on to the government anyway, and a break until the end of the year is no more than a weak option for shoe manufacturers : "Nobody believes that the numbers will look different in January."
Will there be matches in the different leagues over the weekend?
She has hardly received any rejections, reports Schuhbauer: “Of course, games are not allowed in the hotspot regions.
Otherwise I received mostly positive news, ”she says happily.
“We will by no means break off prematurely.
That simply does not work.
The clubs did so much to ensure that the young people and adults were allowed to go back into the hall.
That would be a disaster for everyone. "
However, Schuhbauer also knows that you have a social responsibility in sport.
There will be the next Presidium Conference today, Thursday, on how to proceed.
"We now need the detailed decisions of the politicians, hopefully they will soon be on our table." Because they want to inform the clubs as soon as possible.
