Bayern Munich's Polish international Robert Lewandowski has been named the best player in the world, presented by the International Federation of History and Statistics.

And the Opta Statistics Network reported that Lewandowski won the award after he got 150 points, while the Argentine Lionel Messi, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, who got 105 points, came in second place, and Jorginho, the Chelsea midfielder, who got 40 points, came in third.

This is the second time in a row that Lewandowski has won the award.
