Manchester United has apparently found an interim coach by the summer of 2022: According to SPIEGEL information, Ralf Rangnick is to take over the post.
"The Athletic" had previously reported the commitment.
The club and coach have therefore come to an agreement.
Now Rangnicks previous employer, Lokomotiv Moscow, still has to approve him.
At the Russian club he works as "Head of Sports and Development".
The 63-year-old is expected to sign a six-month contract as an interim trainer and then work in an advisory capacity for two years.
Manchester United had last split from coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
The team is currently eighth in the Premier League, Solskjær's last game was a 4-1 loss to Watford.
