The top team from Grafingen has so far lived up to all the experts' predictions and was without any point loss until matchday 14.
Last weekend there were two defeats against third-placed TSV Peißenberg, albeit only after 60 minutes (0: 1 after extra time, 4: 5 after penalty).
The team of coach Dominik Quinlan lives from the above-average quality. It's an ensemble full of highly experienced players. The EHC had a good hand when it came to complements. Above all, the 25-year-old Canadian attacker Lynnden Pastaschak is a special class clipper. In the league standings he is in second place behind Nick Endress (Pfaffenhofen) in the top scorers after twelve games with 17 goals and 10 assists, and in the top scorers he alone holds the top with 17 goals. The 31-year-old striker Florian Engel (formerly Erding) and the 30-year-old long-time Dorfen defender Johannes Kroner (changed mainly because of his teaching position close to Grafing) bring all their experience to the compact EHC team. The Grafingers are also well positioned in the goal.The long-injured Dominik Gräubig has reported back, and Philipp Hähl is one of the best goalies in the league anyway.
In the first leg, the Eispiraten were only beaten at 1: 6 in the final phase by three hits from the powerful Raphael Kaefer.
