In terms of personnel, the ESC Dorfen had to admit defeat 4: 5 (3: 0, 1: 3, 0: 2) on Friday evening.
A 4-0 lead against EHC "Pastachak" Klostersee was not enough.

- Hardly any more low blows than the ice pirates had to take in terms of personnel before they left for Grafing. 14 outfield players and only Luca Endres as goalkeeper made up the squad. Tobias Brenninger, the coach of the 1b team, stood by the gang. He was the substitute coach for U20 coach Jan Smolko, who jumped in last Sunday, and who, like head coach Franz Steer, had to pass due to illness. Klostersee, back in play since last weekend after a three-week Corona-related break, was almost complete with still nine former league players.
Under such conditions, the ice pirates could only surprise and, best of all, surprise the favorite.
With a double strike, Benedikt Dietrich and Maximilian Steiner shot out a 2-0 lead.
The next double hit was two penalties against Dietrich and Gasper Susanj, but was put away without damage.
The first outnumbered Florian Fischer to 3-0, whereupon at Klostersee Philipp Hähl replaced Dominik Gräubig in goal.
David Hrazdira increased it to a whopping 4-0 after seven minutes of the second part of the game.
Klostersee was far from defeated, and Ligatopscorer Lynnden Pastachak set the signal to catch up with the outnumbered goal to make it 1: 4.
Together with Dorfens Lönnig in the penalty box in between, the next overpaid hit was again on his account.
The final phase of this second part of the game was fateful for Dorfen.
After a wild brawl, Matthias Baumhackl from the EHC and Dorfens Philipp Schuhmann received "5 plus playing time" and Dietrich received a match penalty for five.
50 seconds before the break Pastachak did his hat trick, and 51 seconds after the restart everything was tied - sometimes not by the Canadian, but by Florian Gaschke.
And there were still two and a half minutes of Dietrich's penalty time on the clock.
They were survived.
It happened a good three minutes before the end, and the goal scorer to make it 5: 4 was of course Pastachak.
