The French women's team beat Kazakhstan 6-0 on Friday in Vannes, retaining its position as leader of group I of qualifying for the 2023 World Cup ahead of the Welsh, its next opponent on Tuesday in Guingamp.
The team led by Corinne Deacon, who led 4-0 at half-time, took the upper hand thanks to goals from Viviane Asseyi (5th), Delphine Cascarino (9th), Marie-Antoinette Katoto (24th), Eve Perisset (37th), Valérie Gauvin from the penalty spot (72nd) and Kenza Dali (74th).
Les Bleues are two points ahead of Wales before their clash on Tuesday (9:10 p.m.).
