Summary: Austria - Israel 2.4 (Sports 1)
Eran Zehavi will not have to undergo surgery to overcome his knee injury, according to PSV Eindhoven's medical team, which examined the striker last week in a very comprehensive manner.
As you may recall, Zehavi was injured in the Israeli national team's game in Austria two weeks ago, and was forced to leave the field for fear of a tear in one of his knee ligaments.
He then flew directly to the Netherlands and did not return with the team to play against the Faroe Islands in the country.
In the last week, the striker underwent a series of tests and photographs, which show that he suffers from a strong stretch in one of the ligaments, an injury that will require rehabilitation, strengthening and physical therapy without the need for surgical intervention.

Eran Zehavi: "The team touches us all, it is a privilege to be a part of it"
To start personal rehabilitation beyond working at the club itself, Zehavi asked the fitness coach of the Israeli team and the one who has accompanied him personally for years, Eran Sado, to come to the Netherlands and stay with him for the next few weeks until he can fully train and play again.
Sado landed yesterday (Saturday) in Amsterdam and is a friend of Zehavi and he will accompany him in the near future with personal training.
It is estimated that in about two months the striker will be able to return to the pitches.

Zehavi, who has already crossed the age of 34, has managed for most of his career to maintain his body and avoid injuries thanks to very intensive work in group and individual training.
This may also be what kept him now from the injury in Austria, which at first seemed to require surgery.
To the delight of PSV Eindhoven, he is not suffering from a rupture and his recovery time will be shorter than initially feared.
It is likely that by early 2022, he will already be able to assist the Dutch team.
