They had a number of chances, but Bayern just didn't want to score. That was also due to the brilliant Bielefeld goalkeeper Stefan Ortega. Then came the appearance of Leroy Sané.

It's been a long time since the times at FC Bayern were as restless as they are now.

The corona problem in the Munich squad was followed by a general meeting, which escalated.

In the home game against Arminia Bielefeld, it looked for a long time as if there would now also be a sporting problem.

It was 0-0 for too long because Bayern missed their chances to score - and so the record champions threatened to lose the championship lead to Borussia Dortmund.

Then Leroy Sané made Munich's faces relaxed with a remarkable shot from around 20 meters (71st minute).

His goal brought three points, FC Bayern won 1-0 (0-0) and is still in first place in the table, the lead over BVB is one point.

The first half was one-sided.

The Munich team achieved around 76 percent possession of the ball, barely allowed an opposing goal chances and earned themselves numerous.

They just made very little of it.

A header from Thomas Müller was cleared in front of the line (7th), a volley from Müller was blocked by goalkeeper Stefan Ortega a few moments later.

Ortega was also there for Sané's long-range shot (11th) and against Alphonso Davies (16th).

And so it continues.

Ortega held again against Müller (21st) and against Davies (34th), the 29-year-old goalkeeper, who had been nominated by ex-national coach Joachim Löw at the EM in the summer, made a strong game.

And if he did not get to a ball, he was lucky enough to be able to do so.

In the middle of the first half, a deflected shot from Robert Lewandowski bumped past the far corner (24th), and a little later that attacker headed just over the goal after a corner (33rd).

Bayern did not shoot a shot on goal for 15 minutes - it was half-time.

After that, they continued as before.

Sané only missed the goal by centimeters (46th), then a lot more (57th), in each case he was in a promising position.

Lewandowski headed over the goal (60th), substitute Jamal Musiala passed it (63rd).

Between all the Munich attacks, there were isolated counter-actions by the Armines.

However, the guests did not become seriously dangerous.

After 90 minutes they had eight shots, but they didn't get any of them on goal, either, Bayern got a leg in the shooting path or the ball clearly missed the target.

After all, it was Musiala who initiated the winning goal.

He dribbled through midfield, then passed sharply towards Müller in the direction of the penalty area.

He let the ball bounce with a contact with Sané, and the 25-year-old flicked the ball from outside the penalty area into the corner.

The final phase of the game showed that because of the lead, balls that had previously missed did not suddenly land in the goal.

Kingsley Coman couldn't get past goalkeeper Ortega (77th), Serge Gnabry shot to the lower edge of the crossbar (78th).

But because Bayern defended stably, the home win was no longer in danger.

Bielefeld will continue on the next matchday against Cologne.

FC Bayern will then meet their closest pursuer - he will compete at Borussia Dortmund.
