Is Washington coming out of the negative period in which it found itself in the West?
Apparently so.
The Wizards defeated Luca Doncic's Dallas Mavericks 114-1 tonight (Saturday through Sunday) en route to a second straight win, just a day after winning in Oklahoma City.
Danny Abdia finished the game with 7 points, one rebound and one assist and with 3 of 7 from the field in 19 minutes from the bench.
The guest came into the game without opening center Spencer Dinvidi, who has not played two nights in a row to ease a return from the serious injury he suffered from last year.
His place in the top five was taken by Arun Holiday, who scored an early three that gave his team a 5: 6 advantage.
Bradley Bill started to warm up, and after a number of field baskets also turned to assists, when four minutes to the end of the first quarter he found Abdia who scored from short range and set up 21:28 for the visitors.
The Israeli forward even added a three and a half minutes to the end of the first quarter, which ended in 36:41 for the team from the capital.

Dallas turned the score around in the second quarter, much thanks to Trey Barak coming off the bench and contributing the offense.
Kristaps Forzingis scored twice in the final minute of the half and set up 61:69 for the Texans.
Luka Doncic, the Slovenian star of the Mavericks, was his team's sole scorer in the third quarter, but after setting up 85:85, Abdia responded with a beautiful basket inside the point on the way to his final points of the game.
The final quarter was particularly close, with Doncic giving the locals a 107: 108 advantage less than four minutes to the buzzer.
Both teams missed a lot from that moment, until a minute and a half before the end Kyle Kozma broke the tie with a big three that made it 109: 112 for the Wizards, lowered the teams to a timeout at the end of which Abdia returned to the floor.
Daniel Gaford widened the gap with the dunk, Tim Hardaway Jr. shrunk to 114-112 with a three-pointer 49 seconds to go.
Cantabius Caldwell Pop scored an important basket about half a minute before the end that set 112: 116 for the Wizards, Doncic shrank with a basket to two points, but after Caldwell Pop Dyke from the penalty line, the Slovenian missed a hard three and Kyle Kozma closed a story from the penalty line.
