Bayer Leverkusen defeated its host Leipzig 3-1 in the match that brought them together in the 13th round of the German Football League.
Leverkusen's first goal was scored by Florian Vertz in the 21st minute, and the French second goal by Moussa Diaby in the 34th minute. The third goal came by Dutch defender Jeremy Frimpong in the 64th minute, while Leipzig's only goal was scored by Portuguese striker Andre Silva in the 62nd minute.
With this win, Leverkusen moved to third place with 24 points, while Leipzig's balance froze in eighth place with 18 points.
