The new runner-up: Rennes pattern size
Rennes is decidedly unplayable at the moment. Qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa Conference Conference earlier in the week, unbeaten in all competitions since September 19, the Bretons have put it back on the lawn of Lorient (0-2). If Benjamin Bourigeaud thought he opened the scoring on the first Rennes opportunity (20th), served at the far post by a Kamaldeen Sulemana offside at the start, it was the inevitable Gaëtan Laborde who unblocked the situation in the second half. On the lookout for a rejected strike (75th), the second best scorer in the championship planted for the 9th time of the season, before Jérémy Doku validated this 9th success in 11 games of a wounded in stride (77th) . Two goals of great importance, since they propel Stade Rennes to the place of runner-up for PSG.A new, well-deserved status. Without a win since September 22, the Lorientais are 15th.
1 - Rennes is the team which has gleaned the most points in the 5 major European leagues since the beginning of October:
🏅 19 pts
6 wins, 1 draw
16 goals scored - 3 goals conceded

The player: Ben Yedder in his standards
If like Rennes, the Monegasques had validated their European ticket this week - them for the knockout stages of the Europa League -, Niko Kovac's players had to resume their march forward in the Championship against Strasbourg, after taking only 'one point in 3 games. Without Aurélien Tchouaméni at the start of this duel between teams on the lookout for European places, they saw Wissam Ben Yedder score from the penalty spot (45th + 1) his 8th goal in 15 outings with ASM. Which places him at the same time in his standards last season, where he finished at 20 units. Ludovic Ajorque answered him in the same exercise for his 6th goal of the season (48th), preventing the players of the Rock from passing them in front of the standings. And no one is further ahead: Monaco is still 8th, Strasbourg still 7th.
The series: never 3 without 4 for Brest
In good shape for a few weeks (3 successes in a row in L1 against Monaco, Lorient and against Lens), Brest went to the lawn of a Bordeaux in the galley since the start of the season, and who had won only 'only one of his last 8 Championship games.
The men of Michel Der Zakarian did not deprive themselves to push the Girondins, who had however marked the first by Stian Gregersen (43rd).
But Ricardo Mangas was completely holed and offered the equalizer to Jérémy Le Douaron (60th), who split with a double from the left a few minutes later (66th).
Overwhelmed by its inconstancy, Bordeaux fell back, now 17th.
While Brest, more beaten since 6 meetings (4 wins, 2 draws), climbs to 12th place.
4 - Brest has won its last 4 matches in Ligue 1, the best current series with Paris.
The Bretons have never seen a longer streak of top-flight victories in their history.
Thunder.

The goal: Konan thinning
Usually much more playful, Reims and Clermont offered a very poor spectacle in Champagne, where the bubbles were not really out… until added time.
And the left foot of Ghislain Konan, came the thinning in this almost nothingness (90th + 1).
The first goal of the season scored by the Ivorian, and what a goal: with an overpowered cannon shot from 20 meters coming to lodge under the bar of Ouparine Djoco, Konan offered at the Reims stadium three points from nowhere , which allow Oscar Garcia's men to snatch their first victory since September 26, and to place 14th.
Nothing is going well for Clermont, however, who has a fifth defeat and does not extricate himself from his place of barrage.
