Ballon d'or 2021: Barcelona's Alexia Putellas winner

European champion under the colors of Barça, the Spanish striker succeeds the American Megan Rapinoe in the winners of the women's Ballon d'Or.

Spain's Alexia Putellas (FC Barcelona) won the third women's Ballon d'Or in history on Monday in Paris, capping a season in which she also won the Champions League with FC Barcelona.

She succeeds the Norwegian Ada Hegerberg, the first winner in history in 2018, and the champion and American feminist icon Megan Rapinoe (2019).
