Here is finally good news in this difficult first part of the season for Stade Français.
The Parisian club has just announced the extension of Sekou Macalou's contract.
The third international line (26 years old, 7 caps), at the club since 2015, came to the end of the contract in 2022. Several clubs had joined the ranks to attract the player with exceptional physical qualities, who found the XV of France during this autumn tour (substitute against Argentina and holder against Georgia).
Injured, however, he was unable to participate in the historic victory against the All Blacks.

Originally from Sarcelles, where he started rugby, Sekou Macalou then went through Massy, before joining Stade Français at the age of 20, in 2015. He won the European Challenge with the Parisian club in 2017, the year in which he discovered for the first time the XV of France during a match against Japan.
His qualities of speed, tackle and touch make him a staple of Gonzalo Quesada's team.
He has played six Top 14 games this season and scored one try, against Perpignan.
