During this meeting, won by the XV of Clover (53-7) in Dublin, the Pumas player (28 years old, 66 caps) was definitively excluded in the 59th minute for a clearing with the shoulder in the head of the pillar Irish left Cian Healy.
Tomas Lavinini, who joined Clermont in October after two seasons with the English Leicester, will not be able to play with the Auvergne club again until next year.
He will notably miss his team's first two matches in the European Cup, against the Irish in Ulster (December 11) and in England at Sale (December 18).
His suspension will also prevent him from facing Stade Toulouse, Auvergne on January 1 in the French championship, unless the Argentinian participates in a protocol with the ASM, by carrying out tackling and clearing workshops.
This eventuality would allow him to ease the penalty for a week so that he can take part in the shock against the reigning French champions.
The player has the option of appealing this decision.
