Athletics puller Lamine Diack

He was called the athletics godfather: Lamine Diack, former president of the World Athletics Federation, died in his home town of Senegal.
His family confirmed this to the AFP news agency on Friday.
Diack was 88 years old.
Between 1999 and 2015 Diack was president of the world association and was at the center of numerous scandals.
Last year, Diack was sentenced to four years in prison in Paris for corruption, money laundering and doping cover-up, including two years on probation.
There was also a fine of 500,000 euros.
After paying a deposit, Diack was allowed to leave France in May and travel to Senegal.
