Perrine Laffont: "I love my life and I won't change it for the world"

2021-12-03T07:31:09.036Z

Perfectly fulfilled at 23, the Olympic mogul skiing champion is approaching the new season which opens this weekend in Ruka with "a cool spirit" and the desire to "improve further".

Perrine, how do you feel when you start a new season, Olympic moreover?

Perrine Laffont:

I'm fine.

I lived my end of preparation quietly and I still feel the same excitement when entering a new season.

Is the excitement the same as it was four years ago, before the Pyeongchang Games?

(Hesitates) It's hard to say… I would say it's a different excitement than it was four years ago.

At the time, I did not have the same status.

Today, I am excited, but also much more serene.

I am not here to say to myself: "Oulala there are the Games in two months!"

(smile) I'm not counting the days that separate me from Beijing and I put a lot more perspective than before Pyeongchang.

I am much cooler.

Your status as Olympic champion does not add pressure to you, but on the contrary takes it off?

I think there is above all more pressure around me, especially from the media.
