Borussia Mönchengladbach experienced a debacle in the Bundesliga against SC Freiburg.
The team of coach Adi Hütter lost at home 0: 6 (0: 6).
Maximilian Eggestein (2nd), Kevin Schade (5th), Philipp Lienhart (12th), Nicolas Höfler (19th), Lucas Höler (25th) and Nico Schlotterbeck (37th) met for the guests before the break.
Whistles from the fans accompanied the home team into the locker room.
Eggestein had put his team in the lead with a low shot through Ramy Bensebaini's legs after barely two minutes, Schade headed again shortly afterwards.
After that, Gladbach was particularly susceptible to set pieces and, as it were, made Vincenzo Grifo the man of the evening as a template provider, although he did not have a goal of his own.
At 3-0 Grifo pulled a free kick directly on goal, Yann Sommer was only left with the defense forward, where Lienhart stood and pushed.
At 4-0, Grifo again took a corner towards Höfler's head, the ball was deflected slightly again and was in goal.
Even at 5-0 it was a free kick by Grifos, which Höfler headed to Höler, who in turn headed him into the goal.
Finally the 6: 0 - again Grifo's free-kick flank, which Schlotterbeck headed.
After the restart, Gladbach tried again for more structure, but hardly got around to setting offensive accents with the well-stocked Freiburg team.
The SC, in turn, apparently had an understanding and played the game to an end in a largely controlled manner.
For coach Hütter it could be tight after the bitter bankruptcy.
Gladbach had only lost 4-1 in the derby against Cologne last week and now conceded ten goals in two games.
In the table, the team is currently only 13th despite ambitions to qualify for international competitions. SC Freiburg under coach Christian Streich closes the matchday in fourth place in the table.
