Unhappy about a referee decision: Hertha's new coach Tayfun Korkut in the defeat in Stuttgart

Tayfun Korkut was surprisingly introduced as the new coach at Hertha BSC during the week. Surprising, because Korkut's previous terms in the Bundesliga were not exactly characterized by success. Most recently, he left VfB Stuttgart at the end of 2018 as bottom of the table. Korkut has now drawn a draw with those Stuttgarters: At 2: 2 (2: 1), Omar Marmoush (15th minute) and Philipp Förster (19th) scored for VfB, Stevan Jovetić scored twice for Berlin (40th, 76th). .
The troubled Hertha, most recently only two points from four Bundesliga games, tried their hand at the ball, but quickly conceded the deficit through a counterattack: Marmoush was sent into the Berlin half by Waldemar Anton and stayed calm in front of goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow (15. ). Only four minutes later, the Hertha players from Stuttgart let Philipp Förster finish free from around 18 meters, Schwolow was defeated again (19th).
In the course of the first half, Stuttgart became more passive, especially defensively. Jovetic led the ball from midfield to the left edge of the box and slid the ball wonderfully into the right corner (40th).
A similar goal by Ishak Belfodil had previously been withdrawn (34th) because keeper Florian Müller was hindered by an offside player.
That decided referee Benjamin Brand after viewing the video images.
Jovetić equalizes
In the second round, Stuttgart got enough space for counter situations, but did not know how to use it.
On the other hand, Hertha failed in persona of the outstanding Jovetić first to Müller, who parried a free kick (73), and then came to an equalization: Jovetić himself led the attack and then poked the ball after a strong deposition by Belfodil from short Distance over the line (76th).
Jovetić is one of the players in the Hertha squad who were signed with great expectations and who were too seldom convincing.
Jovetić was once signed by Manchester City and Inter Milan for tens of millions.
After he had calf problems thrown out this season, the goals against Stuttgart were his season goals three and four in eight games.
