The Syrian national football team for juniors lost to its UAE counterpart, by four goals, in the opening of its participation in the second group competitions in the West Asian Federation Championship held in Saudi Arabia.
The UAE team opened the scoring with a goal by Abdul Aziz Al Marzouki in the 15th minute, and advanced with a second goal through Walid Al Hammadi in the 18th minute, and our team reduced the difference with the goal of Anas Al Dahan in the 20th minute. Al Hammadi in the 72nd minute.
Our team will meet with its Palestinian counterpart next Thursday.
According to the tournament system, the top places in the three groups in the tournament, in addition to the best second-placed team, qualify for the semi-finals, knowing that the first group includes the teams of Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Lebanon, while the teams of Bahrain, Yemen and Jordan compete in the third.
