The sports court of the German Football Association has fined Borussia Dortmund's professional Jude Bellingham.

The association has confirmed that.

The background is his TV statement about referee Felix Zwayer after the Bundesliga match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

»You give a referee who has postponed games the biggest game in Germany.

What do you expect? «: These words, which Bellingham chose after the 2: 3 defeat of his Dortmund team in an interview with the Norwegian broadcaster Viaplay, were the reason for the investigation.

Immediately after the final whistle, Bellingham reminded Zwayers of misconduct in the Robert Hoyzer betting scandal, which had been punished by the DFB several years ago.

According to the files, Zwayer, Hoyzer's former assistant, had also accepted money at the time, and manipulation has not been proven.

"Anyone who has once accepted money and has kept Hoyzer's manipulation secret for six months shouldn't whistle professional football," ex-referee Manuel Graefe said months ago in "Zeit Magazin".

The sports court now assessed Bellingham's statement as "unsportsmanlike conduct" and sentenced the England international to a fine of 40,000 euros.

Borussia Dortmund and the player have accepted the verdict.

Bellingham is thus eligible to play in the Bundesliga game next Saturday at VfL Bochum.
