Liverpool beat its guest AC Milan 2-1 at the end of its campaign in the first round of the Champions League.
Milan defender Fikayo Tomori scored a goal in the 29th minute before Liverpool managed to adjust and advance through Mohamed Salah in the 36th minute and Divock Origi in the 55th.
Liverpool finished the competition in Group B with a full score of 18 points, while Milan finished fourth and last with 4 points, failing to qualify for the European League playoff as well.
