The football legend has not finished with his health problems. He left the hospital on Wednesday to treat a cancerous tumor

He has just celebrated his 81st birthday and his health remains fragile.

Legend Pelé returned to hospital "to continue treatment" for a colon tumor.

This was announced on Wednesday by the medical establishment in Sao Paulo where he had already spent a month in September.

In its medical press release, the Albert-Einstein hospital specifies that Pelé's state of health is "stable" and that he should be released "in the coming days".

At the end of September, this same hospital had indicated that the triple world champion (1958, 1962, 1970) was undergoing "chemotherapy" to treat this tumor detected during routine examinations.

He congratulated Messi on his 7th Golden Ball

Operated on September 4, the Brazilian then spent ten days in an intensive care unit, where he returned briefly a few days later due to breathing difficulties.

Throughout her hospitalization, one of her daughters, Kely Nascimento, reassured fans with photos and videos showing her father still smiling and full of humor despite apparent fatigue.

Pelé himself has made a few social media posts recently.

He even congratulated Lionel Messi on his seventh Golden Ball last week.

Edson Arantes do Nascimento has suffered from numerous health problems in recent years, especially in 2019, when he was hospitalized in Paris and then transferred to Sao Paulo for kidney stones.

For several years, he has also suffered from a hip which most often forces the former football genius to move with a walker.

At the start of the Covid epidemic, his former partner who was world champion in 1970 Paulo César told us that he was living alone at home.
