Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics on Wednesday, following in the footsteps of the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
"We are deeply disturbed by the human rights violations by the Chinese government," he said at a press conference.
The list of countries participating in this diplomatic boycott is growing.
On Wednesday, Australia and the United Kingdom announced the boycott.
