Women's PSG: no danger for young Parisians in Ukraine

2021-12-08T07:41:54.338Z

Already qualified and first in their group, the Parisiennes have an appointment in Kharkiv on Wednesday evening (6:45 p.m.) for their penultimate match.

Three more games and the PSG girls will have finished with their first part of the hectic season.

Still disturbed by the case of the aggression of Kheira Hamraoui, the Parisiennes start this home stretch this Wednesday evening in Ukraine against Kharkiv (6:45 p.m., DAZN / YouTube) for their penultimate match in the Champions League.

A meeting which counts for "nothing" since the PSG is already qualified and assured of the first place of its European group thanks to four successes acquired on the first four outings.

So how can we best manage this long trip to eastern Ukraine? Didier Ollé-Nicolle, the coach, only called 17 players for the trip made this Tuesday in a private plane. With many young people: the usual Jade Le Guilly (19 year old defender) or Laurina Fazer (18 year old midfielder) but also Magnaba Folquet (18 year old midfielder), Hawa Sangaré (19 year old striker), Océane Hurtré (18 year old striker) 17) and Baby Jordy Benera (mid-17). These last two evolved and scored this Sunday with the under 19s on the last day of the first phase of the championship.

Summons justified by the absences of executives left to rest such as Marie-Antoinette Katoto, Kadidiatou Diani, Sara Däbritz, Grace Geyoro, Elisa De Almeida, Stéphanie Labbé or Sakina Karchaoui.

"These are girls who have played a lot with us or during international breaks," Didier Ollé-Nicolle recalled on Tuesday morning before the last training session in Bougival (Yvelines).

We will keep a solid base but this match represents a possibility of giving playing time to some players like Ramona (Bachmann), Jordyn (Huitema), Celin (Bizet) or Ashley (Lawrence) ”.

Luana back, Hamraoui and Aminata Diallo in training

Small event for this meeting: the return to Luana's group.

The Brazilian midfielder, victim of a rupture of a cruciate ligament on March 24, was summoned by the Parisian staff after eight months of absence.

"She trains normally but it's a bit early to see her start," admits the coach.

The idea is to make him make this trip, to play maybe a bit of a match.

We want her to regain confidence and the daily preparation ”.

Finally, Kheira Hamraoui and Aminata Diallo, away from the group for a month, returned to collective training this Tuesday morning.

They are not traveling and their return to competition should wait a few more weeks.

“They have to get used to each other again,” concludes Ollé-Nicolle.

It takes time, physically and psychologically ”.

PSG will end its year 2021 with the reception of Bordeaux on Sunday in D1 and that of the Icelanders of Breidablik on Thursday evening before going on vacation.
