New Orleans (20: 7) - Denver (12:12) 120: 114 (overtime)
Nikola Jukic scored 11 points in overtime, finishing with 39 in total, adding 11 rebounds and 11 assists, scoring the Nuggets' last 5 points Before the end of legal time and brought his team back from behind, and in fact the MVP did everything to lead his team to victory in New Orleans. Will Barton added 20 points for Denver, which recovered from a loss in Chicago two nights ago. On the other side Jonas Valencia scored 27 and scored 11 for the Pelicans, but New Orleans was defeated again, in a game in which they recorded 25 turnovers leading to 31 points for the Nuggets. Jukic, as mentioned, was once again above them all, with a versatile game that included spectacular moves below the post-up, finishing with 17 of 23 from the field.
Houston (16: 8) - Brooklyn (8:17) 104: 114
How crazy is the Rockets' season? Houston has become the first team in league history to have in one season a streak of 15 losses, and a streak of seven wins. Tonight Eric Gordon scored 21 (before being sent off in the fourth quarter), Garrison Matthews scored 16, and the Rockets increased their surprising streak to seven wins, this time against the team with the best balance in the East. James Harden came to Houston for only the second time since leaving in a trade (after 9 seasons with the Brooks) and was greeted with an exciting video and tribute, scoring 25 points, but Brooklyn struggled without Kevin Durant and Marcus Aldridge getting a rest. The Rockets led at 17 early in the fourth quarter, the Nets shrank to just 4, but Houston managed to keep the lead. Harden finished with 4 of 16 from the field and 3 of 12 from three, in addition to 8 turnovers, including one particularly ridiculous.
Miami (11:15) - Milwaukee (10:16) 104: 113
Injured Jimmy Butler sat out, Caleb Martin opened in his place and scored a career-high 28 points, including 6 of 8 from three and Miami equaled a club record with 22 threes.
Kyle Laurie scored 22 and handed out 13 assists, Max Strauss added 16 (all in the final quarter), and the Heat interrupted a streak of three home losses.
Jero Holiday, on the other hand, scored 27 for the Bucks, Chris Mildton added 20, but Miami managed to stop Yannis Antocompo on just 15 points on 4 of 13 from the field, and Miami's substitutes scored 40 points against just 16 of the champion.
Milwaukee Iod took the lead at 7 at halftime, but a third quarter of 26:39 led to a turnaround in Florida.
