The Syrian national football team defeated its Palestinian counterpart with six goals without a response in the West Asian Junior Championships, held in Saudi Arabia, in the match that brought them together today in the second group competition.
The goals of our team, Kawa Issa, Muhammad Laith Al-Bunni and Anas Al-Dahan scored two goals, and Ahmed Saqan two goals, in the 24th, 27th, 57th, 67th and 83rd minutes, and in overtime.
Our team had lost at the beginning of its campaign in the tournament against its UAE counterpart, with a goal of four goals.
According to the tournament system, the top places in the three groups in the tournament, in addition to the best second-placed team, qualify for the semi-finals, noting that the first group includes the teams of Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Lebanon, while the teams of Bahrain, Yemen and Jordan compete in the third.
