The Syrian national football team qualified today for the semi-finals of the West Asian Junior Championships held in Saudi Arabia, at the end of the group stage in the tournament.
The qualification of our team came by obtaining the best second place in the three groups in the championship after the end of the first round competitions, where our team came in second place with three points in the second group, behind the UAE team leader with 6 points, and the Palestine team came third and finally without points in this group.
In the semi-finals of the tournament, our team joined the teams of Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Yemen, which qualified by leading the three groups.
Our team opened its campaign with a loss against its UAE counterpart, with a goal of four, while earlier today it defeated its Palestinian counterpart by six goals without a response.
