FC Neufahrn has presented its new coaching team after separating from Willi Kalichman.

Andreas Voggt and Andreas Fritsch want to turn things around.

Neufahrn

- The management level of FC Neufahrn has given itself one month to take stock of the situation and analyze the course of the season so far.

And it was not great: Eight points, 15:49 goals, last place in the table in the district class - that's not how it was imagined.

Now it should judge a new coaching duo.

“We made a major upheaval ahead of the season.

It was clear to us, of course, that we could slip in far below - but we just didn't see the development in the last few games, ”said department head Mario Moharitsch.

It is true that FC Neufahrn shone in autumn with surprising successes against SV Vötting and Vatanspor Freising.

“But after that you somehow didn't feel the euphoria that much.

We couldn't take the momentum with us. "

This was followed by the reaction: The coaching duo Willi Kalichman and Christian Trasberger had to leave.

“We didn't want to leave no stone unturned to keep the class.

The new team of coaches now has the opportunity to contribute their new philosophy directly, ”emphasizes Moharitsch.

Shared past was the main reason for the commitment

And who this is about is now also certain: Andreas Voggt (31) and Andreas Fritsch (31) from the A-Classics SC Massenhausen, who both have the B license, will succeed Kalichman.

The two were active as players at FCN until 2017 before they started their coaching career in Massenhausen.

“We said goodbye in a very friendly manner and kept in touch,” says Moharitsch.

In the course of this week the matter was then made clear.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The common past is also the main reason for the commitment: “The two are known and loved in the community.

They are also very young and therefore very close to the team, ”says Moharitsch.

In this way, the Neufahrner hope to solve their biggest problem of the first half of the season: Although the FCN has a large squad on paper, Coach Kalichman often had to improvise.

“We try to do a lot with the ball, build up a varied training session and thus increase participation in training,” explains Voggt.

The first and most important task for him and Fritsch is to promote solidarity in the team: "We want to re-establish a bond, also with the second team and the women's team."

Coach duo hopes to catch up

In this way, the sporting goals should then be achieved, such as stabilizing the defensive.

Moharitsch: "To be in the back is simply important in amateur football. We now need this stability again in order to develop security." Therefore, the focus of the new coaching duo is initially on defensive work: "We'll be less 5: 4 results for the time being see “, announces Voggt.

"Fritschi was a goalkeeper, I was a defender - this philosophy runs in the blood." Nobody wants to promise that this new line-up will be enough to keep the league.

“We can't expect that, but we hope that we'll be able to catch up.” Voggt is optimistic: “It's a difficult task.

But we are in good spirits that we can make it.

Or that we can lay a good foundation for the A-Class. "
